Bridal / Wedding Shower Games

What I love
Start the shower by having each guest introduce him/herself with his/her first name along with his/her favorite thing (such as fruit, flower, sport, etc...) corresponding with the first letter in his/her name. For example, the first guest says "My name is Lynn and I love lavenders." The next guest then has to say "My name is Bill and I love basketball, and her name is Lynn and she loves lavenders." After a short while everyone will try to help other people introduce themselves. This will end up in the way that everyone will know everyone's name.

Who am I?
This game is good for a shower where the guests don't know each other very well. Prior to the shower, write a name of a famous person, singer, actor, actress or cartoon character on a folded card. As each guest arrives, attach the name card to his/her back in the way that he/she cannot try to peek at his/her name in a mirror. The task is for the guest to figure out the name of the person on his/her back by asking the other guests questions which can only be answered with a "yes" or a "no". This game gets people mingling and talking to each other. The first person to guess correctly is the winner.

Observation
For the first little while, have the bride mingling with the guests. Then ask the bride to leave the room. Provide each guest with a piece of paper and pen. Now ask the guests to describe on paper everything they can remember about what the bride is wearing and to get as detailed as possible (e.g. colors, type, style, of make-up, jewelry, earrings, watch, dress, blouse, pants, shoes, etc...). Give them 3-5 minutes and then tell them to stop writing. Invite the bride back in and have the guests check their lists. The person who correctly described the most is the winner.

Super stars
Pass out star stickers to each guest. After everyone has a sticker clearly visible on his/her clothes the game begins. Nobody is allowed to say words such as 'groom' or 'groom's name' or 'wedding' or doing certain things such as cross legs or ankles. The person catching another person doing that gets his/her sticker. The person with the most stickers wins.

Who knows the bride best
Ask everyone to fill out a sheets of 15 questions the way that he/she thinks the bride would answer. The bride fills out a sheet of her own answers. The person who guessed the most number of the bride's answers is the winner.
Examples of questions:
1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go for your honeymoon?
2. If you could live anywhere in the world , where would it be?
3. If you could have any kind of car, what would you like to drive?
4. What is your favorite pet?
5. What is your favorite kind of movies?
6. What is your favorite music group?
7. What is your favorite type of food/restaurant?
8. What is your favorite color?
9. What was the first job that you held?
10. Would you like to read a hilarious essay, a biography, or a romance novel?
11. Would you prefer to go shopping, see a movie, bowling, fishing, or hiking?
12. Would you prefer the formal dress to be silk, satin, lace or velvet?
13. When and how you meet your groom?
14. When was you and your groom's first date?
15. If you had to pick out one physical trait that you like best about your groom, what would it be?

Truth in Hershey's Kisses
Pass around a bag of Hershey's Kisses, have everyone take as many Kisses as they wish. When everyone is done, they then have to tell one thing about the bride or groom for how many candies they have in their hands.

Wedding words
Have the guests unscramble wedding related words. The first person to complete the unscrambling properly is the winner. If no one completes the list within 10 minute, the one with the most correct answers is the winner.
Examples of words:
Scrambled: morgo, stigf, grin, nemhoyono, worfsel, grealcmny, kace, reshus, tenbasm, trarge, edrbi, crie, smiedsibrad, rotamynim, hepcal
Answers unscrambled: groom, gifts, ring, honeymoon, flowers, clergyman, cake, ushers, bestman, garter, bride, rice, bridesmaids, Matrimony, Chapel

How well the bride knows the groom 1
Have the groom and a few males come to the shower. If the groom wears cologne or after shave lotion, be sure that all men wear the same fragrance that the groom does. Blindfold the bride, have the bride feels each of the guys' elbow until she can tell which one is her man's.
